OSD'S PROJECT CHARITEE

In April, OSD launched Project Charitee with one mission: to be directly involved in raising money for those who were less fortunate. The project started off small, with only 30 t-shirts available for sale. For each t-shirt sold, we donated the profit equally to the families on our website. It then inspired us to name it Project Charitee, a play on the words: charity and tee (t-shirt).

Not long after our first batch, we brought in 50 more t-shirts. Unfortunately, we couldn't bring in larger stock due to insufficient funds. It took us roughly 1 month to sell all 80 t-shirts. To assure the public that the money went straight to the people, we came up with a plan where the allocation of profits were divided into three stages.

In the end, Project Charitee succesfully collected approximately RM1000 worth of profits. All in all, this short-term project showed us that the Malaysian society does care and empathize for the less fortunate. The project is a stepping stone for far bigger projects in the future.

"I have to say seeing the outcome of Project Charitee was definitely rewarding. I didn't need to use the money for any reason at that time and figured I put it to good use. Instead of simply donating to the families, I wanted to spread awareness about what OSD believes in: giving back and helping those in our society. So I invested my own money into this project. I'm truly glad I made that decision. "

WIth that, we conclude this write up with a simple thank you to each and every person who bought a charitee and gave support.
